Lagos Beaches

The beaches in Lagos are some of the best in the Algarve and include the wonderful 4kms of golden sands along Meia Praia, Batata Beach just across the road from the town centre,

Dona Ana Beach with it's spectacular rock formations nestling beneath the cliffs, the small, sheltered Camilo Beach on the way to Ponta de Piedade and the beautiful sandy bay of Porto de Mós Beach - the furthest beach from Lagos town centre.

  1. Meia Praia

    This is the largest beach in Lagos, stretching some 4 klms.

  2. Ponta da Piedade

    This beach is in an idyllic setting with captivating views to the east and west of the Algarve.

  3. Praia da Batata

    This beach, translated to Potato Beach flanks the town centre and is therefore often referred to as the Town Beach.

  4. Praia da Luz

    The town is built along the beach so it is possible to eat and drink on establishments that have great views of the beach.

  5. Praia do Camillo

    This beach is very close to Praia da Dona Ana and is similarly beautiful with picturesque rock formations and an access via an equally long staircase of approx 95 stairs.

  6. Praia do Pinhão

    Lovely sandy beach with great views and not overly crowded.

  7. Praia do Porto Mós

    This beach is larger than Praia da Batata / Dona Ana / Camillo. Providing a lot more space and privacy.

  8. Praia Dona Ana

    This beach is simply stunning with beautiful views breathtaking strata rock formations.

  9. Praia dos Estudantes

    This name translates to Beach Of Students. This beach is less well known so can be less crowded.

  10. Praia do Cais da Solária

    This beach is the closest beach to the town and along side Praia da Batata.
